The researcher selected this topic for study of trauma involved patients needing specialized emergency care in ICU. This study finally led to certain definitive conclusion about injuries, reason and demographic aspects. It is hoped that the findings promulgated aspects of trauma, emergency care, morbidity and mortality encountered in ICU of a large teaching hospital. This could form a benchmark for formulating policies and healthcare.

Dr Mohammad Mojahid Anwar has completed his MBBS and MD (Forensic Medicine) from JNMC, AMU, India. In addition the author has diploma in ophthalmology. This has kept him in good stead allowing him to focus his area of expertise in forensic medicine to medico legal assessment, evaluation and reporting of ocular injuries.He has published 19 papers.
